Crowded House frontman Neil Finn, his wife (Sharon Finn), and indie musician Sean Donnelly, have formed a brand new band called Pajama Club (formerly Pajama Party). The New Zealand-based band will be releasing their self-titled debut album on September 13, 2011 through Lester Records/Redeye.
In 2009, Nein Finn was adding additional touches to bare-bones of the tracks on their upcoming debut album during his tour with Crowded House. However, it was not until Sean Donnelly joined the band, adding his electronic loops and texture that Pajama Club’s music really tied together and became what it is. What has been released by the band thus far sounds free-spirited with a gritty, dream-pop, garage-band feel.
Pajama Club will be performing several East Coast U.S. tour dates in June, as well as the Solid Sound Festival, followed by a short West Coast tour in August.
