Fay Wrays have been producing a fresh, punk-rock sound from Fresno, California since 2006. The band, composed of three friends making sense of their instruments, have become a veteran of the Fresno local music scene. Their influences include most anything put out Dischord Records, including Girls Against Boys, These Arms are Snakes, Sonic Youth, Mission of Burma.
Fay Wrays’ latest album, Strange Confessor, was released May 28, 2011. The tracks on Strange Confessor resonate with sounds of post-punk rock, fueled by riffs, dreamy voices, and a plethora of energy. Such a sound can only be hogged by a local music scene for so long.
