This year’s Fun Fun Fun Fest is moving to Auditorium Shores south of downtown Austin, in effect doubling the fest’s capacity from its previous home.
FFF, as the fest is also known, will take place Nov. 5 and 6 this year. A limited amount of discount tickets will go on sale in May. A Friday kick-off event is in the works too, though details haven’t been revealed.
Now in its sixth year, Fun Fun Fun Fest called Waterloo Park home for its first five. But after selling out last year, the fest’s organizers at Transmission Entertainment thought it was time to move on to a bigger spot. Handy, since a city project threatens to throw Waterloo Park into disarray for the next couple years.
No word on any headliners yet, though last year saw a diverse bill that included Suicidal Tendencies, Slick Rick, Bad Religion, Best Coast, MGMT and “Weird Al” Yankovic.
The above image is last year’s logo. We don’t know what the logo will look like for 2011, but we kinda hope it’s this one…
