Take one part atmospheric synths, two parts ethereal vocals, and three parts serious indie cred, and you’ll get the latest single from Toronto’s Laser. The Canadian indie-electro group is made up of Lisa Lobsinger of Broken Social Scene/Reverie Sound Revue, The Beauties’ Paul Pfister, and Transistor Sound & Light Co’s Marty Kinack.
The single, “Do We All Feel It” [via Forseen Entertainment] comes ahead of their 2016 debut album. Lobsinger described the song in a statement saying, “This is a song about watching someone slowly destroy themselves while trying to protect yourself from how that feels. It’s about the choice, the guilt, and the fear.”
The video matches the song’s moody vibe with analog aesthetics while keeping it simple by focusing on Lobsinger singing along from the passenger side of a car. Check out the understated video below.
