Today Austin Mic Exchange, who are also the organizers of the newly announced Weird City Hip-Hop Festival, announced their first round of performers. The lineup includes both national and local acts, including Queens rapper Pharoahe Monche performing in support of his latest album
PTSD: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, released in April. Other standout touring acts include Jean Grae (formerly known as What? What?) and Detroit’s Black Milk. See the full list of performers thus far below.
The three day hip-hop festival is scheduled to kick off the weekend of September 26-28. Particuapting venues include Empire Control Room & Garage, Holy Mountain, Red 7 and Beerland. Presale weekend passes are now on sale online at the Weird City Hip-Hop Festival’s Indiegogo page here.
