After successfully releasing their latest and third album Spanish Moss and Total Loss in July 2012, Shout Out Out Out Out announced they will be touring in March to promote their latest release. The album carries fresh and mature beats, as well as being more melodic and varied but still keeping their electro/dank-punk style. The band claims they was out of their comfort zone, causing them to grow as songwriters but are very pleased with their latest creation. Shout Out Out Out Out has been influenced by classic house music, disco, techno and a variety of cosmic synths. While on tour, they will be stopping by Austin on March 14-16 during South by Southwest.
The canucks formed in 2004 while in their hometown, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada have released three albums since and have been nominated for the Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year. Their success as a band has been established through their independency on creating each accomplish by themselves and pitching in as a band. Band members Nik Kozub and Jason Troock manage a small independent record label, where they release the band’s album as well as being part of the band. Band members Lyle Bell, Gravy, Will Zimmerman, and Clint Frazier are in charge of designing their website, taking pictures and even bring comic relief to the table. If this doesn’t tell you why they’re so awesome, be sure to check the band out while in Austin. They will be performing March 14 and March 15 at Old School from 12:15 -1:45 a.m. and March 16 at Friends from 1:00 – 1:45 a.m. Be sure to check out their SoundCloud for a chance to jam out to their album Spanish Moss and Total Loss here.
