Cambodian pop fusionists Dengue Fever are on tour in support of their new album, The Deepest Lake. The album expands on their trademark psych/surf/Cambodian pop sound with African percussion, vocals that would make Exene and John Doe proud, sweeping melodies, and extended psychedelic jams of songs that often time out after five or six minutes. The result is a sound that showcases their musically adventurous side while still remaining faithful to the band’s otherworldly sound.
On Saturday, Apr. 4, Dengue Fever will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at Red 7. Austin’s own Hard Proof open the show. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below after submitting your full name and email address. Only submissions with full names will be officially entered. We will pick the winner from these submissions before 6 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 3, the day before the show.
