Deap Vally are an Los Angeles-based female duo who met in a crocheting class, but don’t let that deter you or prejudge. Composed of of Lindsey Troy (guitar, vocals) and Julie Edwards (drums and vocals), the group fuses elements of blues and classic rock a la’ The Black Keys with feminine touch. The duo are currently on tour in support of their debut studio album, Sistrionix.
On Friday, Oct. 4, Deap Vally will be performing a headlining concert at Stubb’s (indoor) as part of the official ACL Music Festival Late Night Show series. Co-headlining the concert will be one of Austin’s favorite locally-based indie bands, Ume. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
