Comedian-turned-actor Chris Tucker has been quoted saying, “I will always do stand-up, even if my acting career takes off. Stand-up is my life.” And that quote rings true because even after having success in multiple film roles and genres, he will be performing stand-up in Austin on May 3.
Tucker is back again, whether or not he was away and he is ready to make us all laugh with his hilarious impressions and one-of-a-kind wit.
He is well known for his loudmouth antics as Detective James Carter in the Rush Hour franchise. Lately, however, his role on the critically acclaimed film Silver Linings Playbook has him back on the entertainment scene, where he seems prepared for bigger and better things.
Austin is welcoming Chris Tucker to the Bass Concert Hall located at 2350 Robert Dedman Dr. on Friday, May 3 at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for $50, $40, and a limited amount of $10 student tickets. You can purchase them online, at the Bass Concert Hall box office, all Texas Box Office outlets including several H-E-B stores, or by calling (512) 477-6060 or (800) 982-BEVO.
