Since the 2009 relocation from it’s native home of Lawrence, Kansas, the music festival dubbed Wakarusa has beckoned the seekers of a modern renaissance to it’s humble abode by offering some of the most progressive artist/s in the world.
With an annual growing population, the “grassroots” festival has gathered a combined interest of over 100 acts and music-followers across the globe over the last several years. The weekend of May 30 through June 2 will commence the celebration of the fifth year atop Mulberry Mountain, with a record attendance expected.
Modern virtuosos such as Widespread Panic, Dispatch, Sound Tribe Sector 9 and The Black Crowes will be headlining for the 10th annual Wakarusa. While other prestige acts, like, Zeds Dead, Umphrey’s McGee, Of Monsters and Men, Rebelution, GROUPLOVE, RJD2, Galactic, The Bright Light Social Hour, Band of Heathens, Run DMT and more will be collaborating to bring in another successful summer, festival season.
The entire lineup has already been announced through three separate phases. Wristbands can be found on the festival’s website. Full event admission is $154, while three-day and two-day passes are also available online.
