Eye in the Sky Collective will be presenting a back-to-school showcase with San Marcos’ best at Trinity Hall this Saturday. The eclectic line-up varies from soul to funk, to punk, to post-rock/ambience with Henry + The Invisibles, Equals, and Zlam Dunk.
Headliner Henry + The Invisibles is a one-man-band, composed of finely-dressed Henry Roland. Roland creatively performs with an array of instruments– an electronic vibe mixed with guitar, embedded in the sounds of keyboards, percussion, and a dozen other tools. Henry + The Invisible’s latest release was single, “Take It 2 The Tippy”, mid-summer of last year.
Performing before Henry + The Invisibles will be instrumental-rock quintet Equals. The band will be bringing their carefully arranged, but passionately performed style to Trinity Hall. In the last year, Equals has been rapidly picking up steam with the release of their self-titled, debut EP; signing with Paper Thin Media; and gaining the interest of local media outlets such as KOOP, Austin Music Weekly, and The Austin Chronicle.
Though all bands on the bill could not possibly be any more different in style– their performance all hold one similiar and essential characteristic: energy. Opening the showcase is the energy-driven and rebellion-inducing punk-rock band, Zlam Dunk. Currently, the Zlam Dunk has been performing new content mixed in with tracks from their latest album, Noble Ancestry.
Trinity Hall is located at 401 East 6th St. Doors open at 8:00pm. The show is for 21+. Admission will be $6 at the door. Click on the links to visit the show post on Do512or Facebook.
