Back in 2006 while still in his former band, yourcodenameis: milo, singer-guitarist Paul Mullen collaborated with Bloc Party’s bassist Gordon Moakes in a project called, “Print Is Dead,” which sparked an idea to form a band together. For several years the two musicians were committed to other bands until both groups took some time off in 2009. The duo teamed up with drummer William Bowerman to finally form British post-hardcore group Young Legionnaire in 2010. They released a debut single, “Colossus/Iron Dream,” but Bowerman soon left the band to tour with La Roux and was replaced by Dean Pearson later that year.
Young Legionaire will release their first full-length, Crisis Works, May 10 on Wichita Records. They’ve premiered the video for the single, “Numbers,” which we’ve posted for you to watch for yourself. The group also announced a European tour this summer in support of the album.
