The Shivers are a rock duo that’s based in Queens, New York, where founding member Keith Zarriello began writing songs in 2001. Zarriello released The Shivers’ debut album, Charades, in 2004 before Australian pianist Jo Schornikow joined him soon after. The group spent the next six years touring and coming out with three more albums that all have garnered critics’ acclaim. In particular, “Beauty” from The Shivers’ debut album was named Gorilla vs. Bear’s 13th best song of the decade.
The Shivers are releasing a fifth album, More, May 10. Zarriello and Schornikow recorded the album early last year in Manchester, UK. They’ve recently announced a spring tour in support of the new album that will start in early May. “Used to Be” is a song from the new album, and you can listen to it below and download here.
