From Denver, Colorado comes The Chain Gang of 1974, a psychedelic-punk group made of four musicians. Kamtin Mohager fronts the group as the lead singer and multi-instrumentalist. He and his brothers were surrounded by music while growing up in Hawaii, though at the time he hoped to play professional hockey. After moving to Colorado, however, a turn of events led him to pursuer a career in music. Over the past several years, The Chain Gang of 1974 has released two full-lengths that have received widespread acclaim for their upbeat and abrasive songs.
The group will release a third album, Wayward Fire, June 21 on Modern Art Records. In support of the upcoming album, The Gang will play a few shows on the West Coast with Jamaica. Can’t wait until June to check out their new material? Well we’re giving you the chance to check out the single, “Undercover,” below.
