Nacional Records is home to some of the best Latin Alternative artists in the world. The record label is home to Mexico’s famous Nortec Collective, a Tijuana based DJ ensemble whose unique sound bring together elements of electronic dance music with traditional Mexican norteño. In recent years, the group have been focusing on their separate projects such as Bostich + Fussible‘s (Ramon Amezcua and Pepe Mogt) Latin Grammy nominated Tijuana Sound Machine and Clorofila’s (Jorge Verdín) album, Corridos Urbanos. In Austin, Bostich + Fussible headlined the first annual Pachanga Fest in 2008, and performed at both Fun Fun Fun Fest and ACL in 2010.
Bomba Estéreo is one of Colombia’s most dynamic cumbia based fusion, or electro tropical, bands in recent years. Lead by Liliana Saumet and Simón Mejía, the group first garnered real buzz in the U.S. with mainstream media at South by Southwest in 2010 after stealing the show at Fader Fort. Only a few months later Bomba Estéreo headlined Pachanga Fest at Fiesta Gardens. The group has not performed in Austin since.
On Thursday, April 28, both Bostich + Fussible and Bomba Estéreo will perform at Club de Ville. In what should should be an incredible night of Latin music, we expect this show to sell out.
