Two cousins, George Langford and Tom Van Buskirk, make up the Javelin. They formed in Providence, RI, in 2004 but have since relocated to the Brooklyn scene. Since their formation, they’ve released a slew of 12” records, remixes and a debut album, No Más, in 2009, followed by a tour in 2010 alongside Yeasayer, Girl Talk, Matt & Kim and more.

Javelin is kicking off another U.S. tour starting in May in support of their newest release — a country western songbook entitled Canyon Candy. The 13 songs on the 10” record were inspired by Javelin’s previous tour and their travels through western landscapes. The duo is also in the process of fundraising for an internet film to accompany the record that will share the same title. Watch the video below or click here for more details.
