With a new year comes a new album for California pop-punkers, This Time Next Year. The band announced this week that they will head back to the studio in early January 2011 to start recording the follow up to 2009’s Road Maps and Heart Attacks.
Along with this news, the band also announced that Chad Gilbert will be producing the album. Besides playing guitar for the punk rock band New Found Glory, Gilbert has produced acts such as A Day To Remember, H2O and Fireworks.
This Time Next Year was scheduled to go on tour with Transit and Daytrader at the beginning of 2011, but because the studio time interfered with the tour, the band was forced to drop out of all the east coast tour dates.
“We hope you all know that we would never cancel a show or tour unless we had a great reason for it. We’ve been writing and demoing for a while now and have been anxious to get into the studio, so when the opportunity to record with Chad presented itself, we couldn’t pass it up,” This Time Next Year said in a message to fans. Into It. Over It. will take This Time Next Year’s place on several of the east coast tour dates.
