The Austin band that put The Live Music Capital back on the heavy metal map, The Sword, debuted their new music video for “Lawless Lands.” Directed by Artificial Army, the video is the second part of the video trilogy they’ve filmed for their new album, Warp Riders now on Kemado Records. The video a 70’s sci-fi inspired trip that provides a visual companion to the album’s epic storyline. If you haven’t yet seen the first music video in the trilogy, watch the video for “Tres Brujas” here.
The Sword also announced today that they will be playing a headlining show on New Year’s Eve in Austin at Mohawk. Joining them on their upcoming tour and NYE show will be new Sword drummer, Kevin Fender, who is best known for his work with the Texas hardcore outfit Employer, Employee. No further details about the NYE show have been released at this time, but we suspect Mohawk will be keeping everyone updated not only on their website but also on their Mohawk Facebook page. Our editor and Sword fanboy will also make sure updates get tweeted and shared right here on Red River Noise.
