We first met and saw Toronto rap artist Shad on Warped Tour in 2009. He had scene kids and hardcore punks nodding their heads, waving their hands in the air and following his every word. From that hot summer day on, we were hooked. In a world filled with no talent wannabes and bad commercial hip hop, it was refreshing to hear a new voice and with old school Biz Markie(ish) vibe.
Shad’s career has since picked up quickly, now with a new record, TSOL, out on Black Box Music in Canada and Decon Records in the U.S. Shad recently premiered his new video for the single, “We, Myself, and I”. Check it out for yourself and see why Shad caught our attention. Download the single if you’d like.
