Cincinnati’s Bad Veins have grown on us. RRN editors Ian Morales and Ajay Miranda met and interviewed the indie-pop duo last year for our sister site Double Stereo. They were opening for The Black & White Years at Emo’s. Though lots of people in the crowd didn’t know what to expect, after seeing an old-fashioned reel-to-reel on stage, they were blown away by Sebastien Schultz’s bombastic drumming and Ben Davis’ simple yet commanding vocal presence. The band is currently touring the East Coast with multiple dates in Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Detroit, Chicago, Montreal and Toronto in the next two months. They’re in Philly tonight for a show at the First Unitarian Church. Get a taste of their live show by watching our video interview below.
