Since their start in 1980, English rock band New Order has been pushing the boundaries of new wave music. Ten albums later, the band has a new remix EP out and a tour on the way. The follow-up to their latest album, Music Complete, the Restless EP, was released Friday.
According to the official press release, the EP includes a remix produced by Andrew Weatherall who’s worked with artists like Bjork and My Bloody Valentine. Aside from Weatherall’s remix of the title track, the rest of the EP includes the extended version of the single, along with other remixes done by xxxy, RAC, and Agoria.
Also mentioned in the release, New Order will head out on tour later this year to help promote their latest album. So far, the band’s Europe dates are nearly sold out, but their one stop in the U.S. – a Dec. 19 performance at Houston’s experimental art and music fest, Day For Night – is still open. So don’t despair, you moody bastards, there’s still a chance for you to brood along with your favorite band here stateside.
