Norwegian singer/songwriter duo Nico & Vinz are returning to the states for a national 24-date tour. Their “Ones to Watch with Skype” tour will be their first full tour in the United States. The tour kicks off in Anaheim, California on May 4. Tickets go on sale today, Feb. 27. The pair will be wrapping up their opening spot on Usher’s “The UR Experience Tour” at the end of March.
Kahouly Nicolay “Nico” Sereba and Vincent “Vinz” Dery formed in 2009 as Envy and are based in Oslo. After gaining international success in January 2014 with their track “Am I Wrong,” they decided to change their name to Nico & Vinz. Last year, their debut album Black Star Elephant was led by “Am I Wrong” which was the number one songs in over 50 countries. Their recent spike in the music charts led Nico & Vinz to appear on shows like The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show. They took advantage of the opportunity of filming a music video when creating the video for “Am I Wrong” and made a conscious effort to present a positive side of Africa, considering it is almost always seen in a negative light across media.
