In Secret, a romantic drama set in 1860s Paris tells the story of a love filled with both passion and obsession that turns awry. The film opens in select theaters on Feb. 21.
Writer/director Charlie Stratton chronicles Therese (Elizabeth Olson), a sexually repressed young women caught in a loveless and incestuous relationship with her cousin Camille (Tom Felton) by the demand of her aunt Madame Raquin (Oscar winner Jessica Lange). As if that weren’t bad enough, Therese is confined to work in a small shop that continues to repress her ability to work. But she meets her husband’s friend, Laurent, where her curiosity and temptation lead her into having an affair. Tragic consequences, naturally, come her way.
