Gimmie Shelter, the fearless drama, that is inspired by true events, tells the story of a homeless teenager and her path towards happiness. The film premieres nationwide on Friday, Jan. 24.
The film chronicles Agnes “Apple” Bailey (Vanessa Hudgens), as she enters motherhood as a teen, and becomes homeless after running away from her abusive mother (Rosario Dawson). With no help from her mother, and turned away by her white-collar father (Brendan Fraser), Agnes is left alone and has no where to turn to, except the streets. The film centers around Agnes and her journey to survive, and find happiness for her and her child.
