Hailing over 450 bands and 60,000 fans since 2010, the Hopscotch Music Festival out of North Carolina has already begun to set up shop for it’s fourth annual appearance in downtown Raleigh.
By combining an assortment of genres, from, alternative country, hip hop, rock and roll, metal, dance, classical, noise, drone, folk and more, the people behind this thriving, alternative festival are working to bring to you over 175 bands in 15 separate venues this year.
In Hopscotch’s past, approximately 35% of musicians performing at the festival have been native locals to either Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill or other surrounding areas. According to their website, the festival “thrives on the variety and quality of its lineup,” and is a “testament to both this region’s musical diversity and its national relevance.”
The full lineup is to be released in late April.
The first ever early bird tickets are on sale for $125, as of Feb. 1, and will go up to $180 in time. They can be purchased at the festival’s website or on Etix.
