The members of This Town Needs Guns are full-time musicians and good samaritans. The group changed their name to TTNG today, due to gun controversy occurring throughout the world.
As stated by the band in a press release: “With our music now finding new cultures, the irony of the name is no longer implicit. Also, in light of the controversy over gun ownership in the US as well as tragic shootings there and elsewhere in the world, we want to distance ourselves from a band name which we are now uncomfortable with.”
The groups latest album, 188.8.131.52.0, refines their knack for poly-rhythms and intricate melodies. Although the band has gone through multiple lineup changes, their current setup (Henry Tremain, vocals, bass and guitar; Tim Collis, guitar; Chris Collis, drums) is ready for a successful year.
