The legendary pioneers of horror punk and gloom metal are releasing their first proper live album since 1987. With a few band change-ups over the years, the Misfits have transcended through the gloom and doom and keep bringing the best in bone-chilling, horror-punk-rock, to a whole new generation. DE A.D. Alive! is set to release on February 5 on Misfits Records and will feature 13 live tracks all recorded in New York City on the devil’s night, Halloween 2012. The album will feature some classics such as “Scream!”, “Dig Up Her Bones” and “Helena” to satisfy that old fiendish appetite and some current hits like “Curse of the Mummy’s Hand” and “Land of the Dead”. In addition to this already ghoulish delivery of tricks and treats, the live set will also feature a cover from Rocky Horror Picture Show, “Science Fiction/Double Feature”, which was recorded and released for the first time ever on this album. The new anticipated live album, DE A.D. Alive! captures the legendary dark essence of the Misfits and is sure to conjure up all lurking horror kids young and old.
Available on CD and Limited Edition 12-inch vinyl plus MP3 card and the first pressings will be on SOLID GOLD vinyl limited to the first 1,500 pieces. So get ready ghouls and boys, the Misfits are back.
