UK indie-folk artist Ed Tullett has been described for bringing “19-year old bliss and harmonious” sound to ones’ ear. His music purely reflects his youth and poetic nature. In August/September 2011, he began writing, producing and recording his debut album New Joy in his bedroom, which gave it a very raw and stripped down feel. Through his music, you will hear a lot of inspiration driven by Bon Iver and Sufjan Stevens. Tullett later self-released it in November on CD, as well as digital download via Bandcamp. He quickly found a devoted fanbase online and was signed almost immediately by record label Equal Vision Records on November 2, 2012.
In addition to his signing, the 19-year old musician and HYPE Music artist is premiering his new EP Trawl on Purevolume.com. Although, the recording process was the same as his album Never Joy, the results were progressively different. His EP Trawl will be released digitally in partnership with MTV via HYPE Music (hypemusic.com) on November 6.
Tullett’s debut full-length album, Never Joy, will also have a worldwide digital release via Equal Vision Records on December 4, 2012. Christopher “Boomer” Brickman of Tallhart has since remastered Never Joy, which was originally released on November 4, 2011. A brand new song titled “Twin,” will also be available on iTunes exclusive track with the release. While New Joy and Trawl is his best work yet, it’s only the beginning for Ed Tullett.
