Beloved Austin-based indie-folk band Wild Child— composed of Kelsey Wilson and Alexander Beggins–has been progressing the last few months with great momentum. After recording with Evan Magers and Alex Peterson and mastering provided by Grammy-winner, Erik Wofford; and working closely with Eye in the Sky Collective, Paper Thin Media, Major Nation and Music Box Media, Wild Child recently released their debut album, Pillow Talk, in late October of 2011.
Through all of this chaos and performing shows left and right, Wild Child has managed to release a music video from their debut album for their track, “Pillow Talk”. The video, directed by Rob Wadleigh, captures the bitter-sweet essence of the track. The images captured convey the sweet sorrow felt post-despair of a failing relationship. The video is primarily filmed in a bedroom/mattress setting (of course), but with the beautiful cinematography the video truly emulates the track in film form. All isn’t sadness and mourning though, the video also includes interesting lighting and pillow-bombs exploding in the sky.
In addition to the premier of the “Pillow Talk” music video, Wild Child has also announced tour dates that will span through South by Southwest. Check out their video “Pillow Talk” and their up-coming dates below:
