Turquoise Jeep Records is an independent record label founded by rappers Flynt Flossy and Whatchyamcallit. Founded in 2009, the label made popular music videos that caught fire on YouTube and signed new artists due to the widespread attention. In 2010, “Lemme Smang It” received over 10 million views on YouTube and things took off from there. Also on Turquoise Jeep records are rappers Yung Humma, Slick Mahony, Pretty Raheem and Tummiscratch.
On Saturday, Sept. 12, Turquoise Jeep will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at The Sidewinder. Austin alternative hip-hop group The Triggerman open the show. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
