Black Tusk was born from sweat. There was blood, and maybe a few tears, too, but more than anything, it was sweat that marked the earliest years of Savannah, Georgia’s Black Tusk. Formed in 2005 by three lifelong friends—bassist Jonathan Athon, guitarist Andrew Fidler, and drummer James May—the band welded together a three-pronged vocal attack, dirty punk, sludgy heavy metal, and a big fat dose of Motorhead to create what they called “swamp metal.”
On Tuesday, Sept. 15, Black Tusk will be performing a headlining concert at The Sidewinder. They will be joined by touring mates Lazer/Wulf and Wrong. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below after submitting your full name and email address. Only submissions with full names will be officially entered. We will pick the winner from these submissions before 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, the day before the show. The winner will be notified via email from Red River Noise.
The Sidewinder, formerly Red Eyed Fly, is located at 715 Red River. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. All ages welcome. Advance tickets for this event are available for purchase online here.
