Sydney garage-soul rockers Royal Headache formed in 2008. Their music is unique blend of pounding garage punk, and vintage soul vocals, to create catchy power-pop tunes performed at blistering speeds. Their self-titled debut, which saw its U.S. release back in May 2012, blasts through its 12 tracks in 26 minutes in true punk fashion. The band is currently gearing up for their sophomore release, HIGH, available on Aug. 21.
On Monday, Aug. 17, Royal Headache will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at Red 7. It is their only Texas date of their current tour. They will be joined by Texas’ own Bad Sports and Jonly Bonly. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below after submitting your full name and email address. Only submissions with full names will be officially entered. We will pick the winner from these submissions before 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14, three days before the show. The winner will be notified via email from Red River Noise.
Red 7 is located at 611 E. 7th Street. Doors open at 8 p.m. All ages are welcome. Advance tickets for this event are available for purchase online here.
