Australia psych-rockers King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard are a 7-piece band of theremin-wielding psychopaths half originating from the flat salt bush plains of Deniliquin and the other from the sea-stained Anglesea coastline, brought together through a share house in Melbourne and a mutual love of Pavement, Thee Oh Sees and Nuggets. Shortly after coming together, they soon gained a devoted and at times visceral Melbourne following – selling out several residencies and their debut EP launch at the Tote Hotel. Currently the band in on tour in North America in support of their new album, Paper Mâché Dream Balloon.
