Kansas City-based post-hardcore band Shiner formed in 1992 and quickly found wide exposure, releasing a vinyl EP in 1993 and touring with acts such as Sunny Day Real Estate, Chore, Jawbox, Season to Risk, The Jesus Lizard, and Girls Against Boys. The group broke up in 2002, but are back on the road for a short stint of reunion shows, celebrating the release of 2000’s Starless on vinyl.
On Wednesday, July 15, Shiner will be performing a headlining (reunion) concert in Austin at Red 7. Austin’s Magnet School opens the show. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below after submitting your full name and email address. Only submissions with full names will be officially entered. We will pick the winner from these submissions before 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, the day before the show. The winner will be notified via email from Red River Noise.
Red 7 is located at 611 E. 7th Street. Doors open at 8 p.m. All ages are welcome. Concert will be on inside stage. Advance tickets for this event are available for purchase online here.
