Originally from Viseu, Portugal, Munich-based Luis Clara Gomes began producing neo-disco and house tracks under music moniker Moullinex (after French appliance manufacturer) in 2007. His productions featured warm, easygoing dance beats, sunny guitars, and synthesizer melodies reminiscent of ’80s disco and ’90s French House. After co-founding Discotexas, a record label and collective of artists from sunny Lisbon which curate a monthly night in Lux, he quickly became an in-demand remixer who provided club reworks for many electronic and dance-leading indie rock groups like Two Door Cinema Club and Sébastien Tellier to name a few. Moullinex is currently on tour in support of his latest release, Elsewhere. (source: Paul Simpson, Rovi)
