Downtown Boys are a bilingual, political, sax-punk party from Providence, RI. The band is a voice, two saxophones, guitar, bass, and drums. Singer Victoria Ruiz is a force, shouting English and Spanish slogans strong enough to direct sever the snaky roots of Babylon. They will be touring throughout North America this summer in support of their first full length LP, Full Communism.
On Monday, July 20, Downtown Boys will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at Mohawk. They will be joined by Austin’s Critical Dad and US Weekly. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below after submitting your full name and email address. Only submissions with full names will be officially entered. We will pick the winner from these submissions before 6 p.m. on Friday, July 17, three days before the show. The winner will be notified via email from Red River Noise.
Mohawk is located at 912 Red River. All ages are welcome. Doors open at 9 p.m. The event will be on the indoor stage. Advance tickets for this event are available for purchase online here.
