London-based alt-rock band Wolf Alice began in 2010, initially as a solo project of Ellie Rowsell, with the name taken from a short story by Angela Carter. She was joined by guitarist Joff Oddie and later by Joel Amey and Theo Ellis. They released a self-titled EP in 2012 as well as a single called “Leaving You.” They released their first physical single “Fluffy” in February 2013 on the Chess Club label. The band is currently on tour in support of their upcoming debut album My Love Is Cool, set for a June 23 release.
On Friday, May 22, Wolf Alice will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at Holy Mountain. They will be joined by touring mates Gateway Drugs. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
