Acid Mothers Temple is a Japanese freak-out group for the 21st century founded in 1995 by members of the Acid Mothers Temple soul-collective and led by Kawabata Makoto. There are currently around 30 members, famous and unknown, musicians, artist, dancers, farmers etc. The band has released albums frequently on a number of international record labels as well as the Acid Mothers Temple family record label, which was established in 1998 to document the activities of the whole collective.
On Friday, May 15, Acid Mothers Temple will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at Red 7. They will be joined by Austin-based psych/space rock legends ST 37. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
