Waxahatchee is an indie music project, formed in 2010 by American singer-songwriter Katie Crutchfield. The band is named after Waxahatchee Creek, in Alabama. Waxahatchee’s latest record, Ivy Tripp, drifts confidently from its predecessors and brings forth a more informed and powerful recognition of where Crutchfield has currently found herself. The album presents a more developed and aged version of Waxahatchee.
