The Queers are punk rock band formed in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, in 1982. Their sound is heavily influenced by the Ramones and ’60s bubblegum pop and their songs often feature humorous and juvenile lyrics. After releasing numerous albums, splits, EPs, etc on various labels over the years, the band is carried on by frontman and guitarist Joe Queer backed by a rotating cast of musicians.
On Friday, Apr. 10, The Queers will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at Red 7. They will be joined by touring mates Richie Ramone and The Atom Age. Austin’s own Sniper 66 open the show. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
