Composer, guitarist and singer Sir Richard Bishop is best known for his work with the Sun City Girls. In 2005, Bishop began performing as a solo artist, playing throughout Europe, Australia, and the United States. Back with a fresh album and a fresh guitar on Tangier Sessions, out Feb. 17 via Drag City, Sir Richard’s mythic guitar playing reaches a new degree of ingenuity and esteem.
On Wednesday, Apr. 22, Houston lo-fi outsider musician Jandek and Sir Richard Bishop will be performing live in Austin at Red 7. Sound artist, producer, guitarist and composer Robert Millis opens the show. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
