Seeing Dallas psychobilly icon Reverend Horton Heat live is a transformative experience. Flames come off the guitars. Heat singes your skin. There’s nothing like the primal tribal rock ‘n roll transfiguration of a Reverend Horton Heat show. The Rev becomes a slicked-back 1950’s rock ‘n roll shaman channeling Screamin’ Jay Hawkins through Buddy Holly, while Jimbo incinerates the stand-up bass. It’s quite the experience.
On Saturday, Apr. 25, Reverend Horton Heat will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at Mohawk. He’ll be joined by touring mates Koffin Kats and Piñata Protest. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below after submitting your full name and email address. Only submissions with full names will be officially entered. We will pick the winner from these submissions before 6 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 24, the day before the show. The winner will be notified via email from Red River Noise.
Mohawk is located at 912 Red River. All ages are welcome. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. The event will be on the outdoor stage. Advance tickets are available for this show here.
