Brooklyn-based noise rockers A Place To Bury Strangers formed in 2002 and are carried on by lone original member Oliver Ackermann (guitar/vocals). They often draw comparisons to bands like Jesus and Mary Chain and/or My Bloody Valentine, but they are much louder and more pedal-crushing than the typical psychedelic, shoegazey revivalist band. One listen and you’ll hear for yourself. The group is currently on tour in support of their 4th studio album, Transfixiation, released on Feb. 17 via Dead Oceans.
On Saturday, Feb. 28, Levitation is proud to present a headlining concert featuring A Place To Bury Strangers at Red 7. The stacked supporting lineup includes Austin shoegaze faves Ringo Deathstarr, Creepoid, SURVIVE, Troller and Hidden Ritual. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below after submitting your full name and email address.
