Rising Norwegian producer Cashmere Cat, born Magnus August Høiberg, rose to prominence with the release of his 2012 EP Mirror Maru on Belgian label Pelican Fly. The EP attracted the attention of producer Benny Blanco and many others and led to production work with Ariana Grande, Ludacris, Wiz Khalifa, Usher, Tinashe and more. Cashmere Cat’s sophomore EP, Wedding Bells, was released in February of 2014 on Glasgow’s LuckyMe. Now signed to Benny Blanco’s Friends Keep Secrets label, recent collaborations include work on Ryn Weaver’s “OctaHate” and BenZel’s MEN EP.
