Philadelphia-based sunny electro-pop band Vacationer describe themselves as a “nu-hula” band, as their music has a beachy dream-pop sound that fuses with a hint of a hip-hop tempo. It makes sense given their various musical influences include The Beach Boys, J. Dilla and LCD Soundsystem. Vacationer are currently on tour in support of their latest full-length album Relief, released in June of 2014 via Downtown Records.
On Thursday, Jan. 29, Vacationer will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at The Parish. Fellow Philadelphia-based alt-pop band Citadel will open the show. The best part? We have a pair of tickets to give away to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below after submitting your full name and email address. Only submissions with full names will be officially entered. We will pick the winner from these submissions before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, the day before the show. The winner will be notified via email from Red River Noise.
The Parish is located at 214 E. 6th Street. Doors open at 9 p.m. All ages welcome. Advance tickets for this event are available for purchase online here.
