Early in her career Denton-based singer-songwriter Sarah Jaffe became known as a folk artist. Since her 2010 debut, Suburban Nature, Jaffe has seamlessly transitioned to making memorable pop music. Her latest album, Don’t Disconnect, is both a mission statement and a call to arms — an album about getting to know yourself in a hyper-connected world that makes it nearly impossible to do just that.
On Saturday, Jan. 31, Sarah Jaffe will be performing live in Austin at The Belmont. The concert is a co-headlining show with Girl In A Coma frontwoman Nina Diaz. DJ Phanie D (drummer for Girl in a Coma) will also DJ before and between sets. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below after submitting your full name and email address. Only submissions with full names will be officially entered. We will pick the winner from these submissions before 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, the day before the show. The winner will be notified via email from Red River Noise.
The Belmont is located at 305 West 6th Street. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Show starts at 8:30 p.m. All ages are welcome. Advance tickets for this event are available online here.
