Canadian singer-songwriter Cold Specks, aka Al Spx, released her debut album I Predict a Graceful Expulsion in 2012 to much critical acclaim. She worked on Moby’s latest album and was invited to play with Joni Mitchell at the singer’s 70th birthday last year, alongside the likes of Herbie Hancock. She contributed to Ambrose Akinmusire’s new record for Blue Note and the latest Swans album, To Be Kind. Cold Specks is currently on tour in support of Neuroplasticity, released via Mute in August.
On Saturday, Nov. 15, Cold Specks will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at Mohawk. Austin’s Love Inks and Chicon open the show. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
