Forming in 1994, Blonde Redhead were thrown together following a chance meeting in New York between Japanese siren Kazu Makino and Milanese twin brothers, Amedeo and Simone Pace. The band named themselves after a song of the same name by the no wave group DNA. They are currently on tour in support of their ninth studio album, Barragán, released in September via Kobalt Records.
On Monday, Nov. 17, Blonde Redhead will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at Mohawk. They will be joined by Los Angeles-based experimental indie band Dot Hacker. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below after submitting your full name and email address. Only submissions with full names will be officially entered. We will pick the winner from these submissions before 10 a.m. on Monday, the day of the show. The winner will be notified via email from Red River Noise.
Mohawk is located at 912 Red River. All ages are welcome. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Show will be on the outdoor stage. Advance tickets are available for this show here.
