The English Beat are a 2 Tone ska revival band founded in Birmingham, England, in 1978. Their music fuses elements of ska, pop, soul, reggae and punk rock. They released three studio albums in the early ’80s before breaking up in 1983. Recently The English Beat starring Dave Wakeling announced that they will be releasing a new studio album entitled For Crying Out Loud in 2015.
On Sunday, Nov. 2, The English Beat will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at Red 7. Austin’s Steady Legend and Heart and Soul Sound System. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
