Rose Windows began in late 2010 in Seattle. On their debut album, The Sun Dogs, the band incorporates elements of The Band, The Doors’ organ-driven psychedelia, and Black Sabbath’s dirges, along with Persian, Indian, and Eastern European music. Rose Windows have toured the West Coast several times, fluidly sharing the stage with underground art-metal bands one night and popular indie Americana acts the next. Rose Windows is currently on tour in support of their latest 7′ release, There Is a Light, released in June via Sub Pop Records.
On Tuesday, Oct. 14, Rose Windows will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at Mohawk. Austin’s own Annabelle Chairlegs open the show. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below after submitting your full name and email address. Only submissions with full names will be officially entered. We will pick the winner from these submissions before 6 p.m. on Monday, the day before the show. The winner will be notified via email from Red River Noise.
Mohawk is located at 912 Red River. All ages are welcome. Doors open at 9 p.m. Show will be on the indoor stage. Advance tickets are available for this show here.
